Frequently Asked Questions

Why Forward Physio?

Forward Physio is a performance-based, private physical therapy practice focusing on helping active individuals reach their highest potential. Visit our "Services" page to understand a little bit more about what we do and why you should come see us for care.

Are You Mobile?

Nope! But we can see you inside one of our two convenient locations:
Apex Performance:
7711 Cheri Ct., Tampa FL 33634
Burg Crossfit: 1150 19th Street N, St. Petersburg FL 33713

Do I need a gym membership to see you at Apex or Burg?

Nope! You can come see us at both locations without a gym membership. At time of scheduling one of our physical therapists will guide you on entering the space.

Do I need a referral to see a PT?

You can be treated by a licensed physical therapist without a physician referral via direct access for 30 days before one is required. Talk to one of our physical therapist if the referral process is new to you.

Does Forward Physio take insurance?

Forward Physio is an out-of-network healthcare provider. This decision allows us to offer unrestricted, quality care without the limitations imposed by insurance companies. Many patients face plan of care discontinuation due to insurance authorization issues, but with us, your physical therapist can treat you for as long as you need. We can provide a SuperBill upon request for potential reimbursement, although this isn't guaranteed and depends on individual insurance plans.

What type of payments are accepted?

Forward Physio accepts credit/debit, HSA/FSA, cash, check, or Zelle.

How often should I attend physical therapy?

Generally, we advise you have a minimum of eight visits to see and sustain progress, but treatment varies person to person. Understand that injuries require time and consistency for proper healing and goal achievement. You can collaborate with one of our physical therapists to determine the optimal frequency that suits you best.
